Integration and Data Engineer

Full time

Bel-Air, Philippines

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain adapters to enterprise source systems and downstream systems.
  • Implement mapping, transformation, and schema logic across workflow and system boundaries.
  • Build identity resolution, cross-reference, and reconciliation capabilities where required.
  • Implement safe write patterns, retries, idempotency, and error-handling logic for system interactions.
  • Develop integration test fixtures, diagnostics, and failure analysis tooling.
  • Support implementation of case, evidence, and operational data flows where integration behavior shapes the model.
  • Work closely with architects and platform engineers to keep integrations consistent with design intent.
  • Surface data-quality and contract issues early and turn them into explicit exception paths or technical controls.

Required Experience

  • Strong engineering experience with APIs, service integration, and operational data flows.
  • Experience implementing mappings, transformations, and reconciliation logic in production systems.
  • Strong understanding of idempotency, retry behavior, and failure-safe integration design.
  • Experience building services or components that handle imperfect or fragmented source data.
  • Strong debugging, diagnostics, and test automation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across architecture and engineering boundaries.
  • Fluent with AI-enabled automation across the software delivery lifecycle — uses AI to accelerate epic and story refinement, design exploration, implementation, test generation, CI/CD workflows, release operations, production support, and integration with the Atlassian suite without eroding code quality or engineering rigor.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with identity resolution, cross-reference services, or master-data-adjacent systems.
  • Background in workflow-driven platforms or distributed enterprise applications.
  • Experience in regulated or audit-sensitive environments.

What Success Looks Like

  • Integrations are reliable, diagnosable, and production-ready.
  • Identity and reconciliation logic is practical and effective.
  • System failures are handled safely without hidden data corruption or duplicate writes.
  • Engineering teams can progress quickly because integration seams are implemented well.

Candidate Profile

This role suits a strong engineer who enjoys building at the boundary between systems, data, and workflow. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, messy source data, and the need for high operational rigor.
