We are looking for a Software Engineer that will support our Payments

Experience who will work within a squad of Product Owners, Business Analysts, Software

Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers.

The Digital Payments Platform is comprised of the following technologies:

● C# with .net

● Angular

● Dapr

● Azure Service Bus

● MongoDB

● Apigee Edge API gateway

● Microsoft Azure and Azure Devops

● Dynatrace

● Github

This role is for a software engineer who is able to work across the technology stack to

build out the Payments Experience features as defined by the product and technology

roadmap.

Key responsibilities

● Reporting to the Engineering Manager and working collaboratively with Product

Owners, BAs, QAEs and other engineers to develop high quality, scalable and

performant solutions.

● Participate in the technical delivery of the squad, building and deploying

solutions and ensuring correct operation.

● Following secure coding standards and practices.

● Participate in all agile ceremonies.

● Work closely with tech leads and senior engineers to design maintainable, robust,

secure systems.

About you

Essential

● Strong experience in modern engineering practices and disciplines.

● Team player who puts the team's needs first.

● Good understanding of Agile & Lean delivery principles (Scrum preferred).

● Strong experience in C# and microservice architecture.

● Good experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud technologies (or AWS, GCP).

● Experience in Unit Testing Principles, Test Driven Development and Behavioural

Driven Development.

● Experience in developing REST APIs including OpenAPI standards.

● Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, DevOps, automation.

● Strong understanding of web security (OWASP TOP 10, etc.).

Desirable

● Experience with event streaming, service bus or message queues.

● NoSQL database experience (MongoDB preferred) including performance

optimisation.

● Experience with Apigee Edge API Platform.

● Experience with Angular and CSS

● Experience with Dynatrace.

● Experience in financial services or backend payments processing.

● Experience with containerisation technologies, including experience working with

container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
